Philosophy

Our Philosophy of Healing

Our care is rooted in identifying root causes and understanding the whole person—because complex health concerns rarely have a single explanation or a single fix.

How we approach care

Not one solution—an individualized plan.

We don’t believe one therapy fixes everything. Care is built around the individual, their history, and the factors contributing to their concerns.

  • Root-cause focused
  • Whole-person perspective
  • Adaptive over time

How this philosophy shows up in care
01

Identify root causes

We assess underlying contributors and patterns, not just isolated symptoms.

02

Build an individualized plan

Strategies are selected based on the person—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

03

Refine over time

Care adapts as the body responds and new information emerges.

Commitment to Ongoing Learning & Innovation

Healthcare is constantly evolving, and our clinic evolves with it. We are committed to ongoing research, clinical education, and thoughtfully evaluating new therapies to ensure patients have access to appropriate, evidence-informed care options that align with our philosophy.

Dr. Lococo, ND’s Health Journey

The personal experiences that shaped Dr. Lococo, ND’s philosophy of care.

Dr. Lococo, ND’s health journey began after a serious car accident at 18 years old, followed by a prolonged illness that developed after international travel.

During recovery, she experienced severe constipation, persistent fatigue, muscle and joint pain, acne, and insomnia. Blood work showed abnormalities, leading to referrals to multiple specialists. Despite extensive testing, no clear explanation or diagnosis was provided, and she was not given a clear understanding of what was happening in her body.

At the time, Dr. Lococo, ND followed recommended care including surgical and pharmaceutical interventions. These approaches did not lead to improvement and contributed to a decline in her overall health. Naturopathic and complementary approaches were not yet known or accessible within her education or social environment.

When these approaches were eventually discovered, they were pursued quietly. Limited understanding within family and social circles created additional emotional strain, contributing to feelings of isolation during an already difficult period.

Over time, naturopathic and complementary care helped Dr. Lococo, ND better understand symptoms within the context of the whole body. This perspective resonated, and gradual improvement followed.

These experiences ultimately led Dr. Lococo, ND to pursue training as a naturopathic doctor, with the goal of ensuring patients feel supported, understood, and aware of their care options earlier—without having to navigate their health in isolation.
